David has honed his critical skills through many years of in-depth Internet, search and convergence experience as related to new media technologies; Art Direction/Project Management; User Interface/Experience Design; Sound Design/Composition; Dynamic Media Design/Video Editing; and 11 years Bob Vila brand, media, content and partnership experience. After completing his education at LaSalle Institute Military Academy, Berklee College of Music and The School at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, he embarked upon an award-winning career that has kept him on the cutting edge of new media technologies, design and usability.
David founded Inversion Design in 1996 after he left his position as a broadcast/interactive designer at WGBH in Boston. He uses the analogy of a jazz band to describe Inversion Design. "It's a place where everyone is a great player in their own right but understands the nuance of supporting the soloist without getting in the way of the soloist, the tune or audience's experience." He goes on to say "Unlike a classical orchestra where you have one guy calling all the shots, this environment is very collaborative. We love to improvise and push the limits of design and technology. If you can't have fun and passion in your craft, why do it."
David has won numerous awards: Peabody, Telly, 4 Group Emmys and nominated for an individual Emmy. He has also won numerous Web awards. He has served on many advisory boards: SIGGRAPH Educators Panel, Art Institute of New England, North Shore Community College, The Art Institute of Boston, Trustee of the Rowley Public Library.
